Top Metal & Hard Rock Bands I Used To Love Before Chevelle + Others I Couldn't Get Into

Today I'll discuss heavy metal and hard rock bands from the past who at one point made a significant impact on me and some I couldn't get into, there's lots of those, as well as others from my childhood. Let's get started on this post.

We'll begin with Disturbed in the early 2000s lasting a good handful of years before outgrowing it. This was followed up by Canadian hard rockers Default who, unfortunately, only lasted two songs, but they were great songs nonetheless. I think most teens loved Evanescence, Linkin Park, and Flyleaf before Lacey left the group. I was also briefly into In This Moment and Nightwish.

I loved Annette as their lead singer, but sadly, I quickly lost interest when she was replaced by Floor Jensen. Does anyone know who the singer is for Nightwish nowadays? I also tried getting into Godsmack, however, that also dissolved when I heard the band broke up or something?

Now onto the topic of my childhood where I remember Alice In Chains on TV and radio during the early 90s. I was pretty good with this outfit but it just fizzled out for no reason. One encounter I vaguely remember was running up to a long CD shelf at some department store, probably Wal-Mart, and asking my older sister if I could have a Cinderella album which she said no to. Sorry, but I don't recall which record it even was.

There are a handful of bands I just couldn't get into: Breaking Benjamin, Korn, Slipknot, 10 Years, Nonpoint, Creed, Nickleback, Alter Bridge, Stone Sour, Shinedown and Sevendust with the exception of one song each, and so many more. My tastes have changed so much over the years I just can't get into it.

I may have outgrown these bands but heavy metal will never die.
