Archives: Chevelle Drop "I Get It" On This Day June 12th, 2007


“I Get It” was released in the summer of 2007 on June 12th coming in at three minutes and fifty five seconds. The music video aired the top of every hour beginning November 28th on MTV2 and the concept of a controlling and Narcissistic employer was written by Jeff Hillard who sees the protagonist scheming plot after plot in hopes of getting revenge on his boss who bullies him relentlessly. Both comedians Jeff Hillard and Paul Hughes, the antagonist, are also both friends of the band. 

The track peaked at number four on the US Alternative Airplay and number five on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts.

Loudwire even said it was the fifth greatest Chevelle song.
